Experimental study of K/sup 0//sub L/. -->. pi. /sup +/. pi. /sup -/. gamma. and other rare decay modes. [Branching ratios, CP conservation, upper limits]

Using the SLAC K/sup 0//sub L/ spectrometer facility, we have measured the ratio (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/..gamma..)/GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. all) to be (6.2 +- 2.1) x 10/sup -5/. The ratio and Dalitz-plot distribution of 24 +- 10 events are consistent with CP conservation in this weak-electromagnetic decay. We have also set upper limits on various processes, as follows: GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. ..mu../sup +/..mu../sup -/..gamma..) / GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. all) < or = 7.8 x 10/sup -6/, 90% C.L.; GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. ..mu../sup +/..mu../sup -/..pi../sup 0/)/GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. all) < or = 5.7 x 10/sup -5/, 90% C.L.; GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. ..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/e/sup +/e/sup -/) / GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. all) < or = 8.8 x 10/sup -6/, 90% C.L.; GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. ..pi../sup 0/..pi../sup plus-or-minus/e/sup minus-or-plus/..nu..)/GAMMA (K/sup 0//sub L/ ..-->.. all) < or = 2.2 x 10/sup -3/, 90% C.L.
