National strategy for control of sulfur oxides from electric power plants

A brief explanation is given of the Environmental Protection Agency's long range program for control of sulfur oxides emissions from fossil fuel-fired electric power plants. The need for control of sulfur oxides, the currently available measures for that control, and the basic strategy for application of those measures are discussed.
