EPICS pion channel performance. [Energetic Pion Channel and Spectrometer (EPICS)]
Construction and testing of the EPICS pion channel at the Clinton P. Anderson Meson Physics Facility (LAMPF) are complete. Results of measurements of the beam phase space, particle composition, and pion fluxes at several energies between T/sub ..pi../ = 50 and 290 MeV are reported.
