Coalcon Clean Boiler Fuels project

The Division of Energy of the Illinois Department of Business and Economic Development has formally reviewed the Coalcon Clean Boiler Fuels Demonstration Plant proposal and recommends that the Energy Resources Commission approve its recommendation of $25 million to the Coalcon Consortium. This request is the result of an extensive technical and economic analysis of the project and the report reviews this analysis. The purpose of the report is to inform the Illinois Energy Resources Commission of the terms of the project proposal, the technology involved, anticipated problem areas, and foreseeable economic benefits (long and short-term), to the state of Illinois.
