If neutrinos have a nonzero charge radius {l angle}{ital r}{sup 2}{r angle}, some fraction of the gravitational binding energy should be released in the form of right-handed neutrinos during stellar collapse. Using observational data on the SN 1987A we find a limit on the charge radius of the right-handed neutrino: {l angle}{ital r}{sup 2}{r angle}{sub R}{le}2{times}10{sup {minus}33} cm{sup 2}.
