Correlations in simple multistring models of pp collisions at ISR energies

Simple algorithms for Monte Carlo simulation of the formation and rupture of several quark--gluon strings in inelastic {ital pp} collisions are proposed. The theoretical multiplicity distributions, the semi-inclusive pseudorapidity spectra, the forward-backward correlations of secondary charged particles, and the sea-gull effect are in good agreement with the experimental data at ISR energies. The semi-inclusive two-particle pseudorapidity correlations in the model depend on the fraction of spherical'' chains. A qualitative explanation of the sea-gull effect is given.
