Elastic. pi. /sup +/p, K/sup +/p, and pp scattering in the region of Coulomb-nuclear interference at momenta 42. 5 and 52. 2 GeV/c

We measured the differential cross sections for elastic scattering of positive pions, kaons, and protons by protons, and also the total cross sections at incident momenta 42.5 and 52.2 GeV/c. The squares of the 4-momentum transfer ranged from 10-/sup 3/ to 5 x 10/sup -2/ (GeV/c)/sup 2/. The experimental data were used to determine the ratio rho(0) of the real part of the forward elastic-scattering amplitude to the imaginary part. The results are compared with the dispersion relations.
