Analysis of the jet behavior of hadrons in. pi. /sup -/ C interactions at 40 GeV/c

The average sphericity S is determined for multinucleon ..pi../sup -/ C collisions at momentum 40 GeV/c. The dependence of the variable on the number of interacting nucleons of the carbon nucleus is studied. The results are compared with data on ..pi../sup -/p interactions at 40 GeV/c and with data on e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation.
