Power plant siting practices in the eleven states belonging to the Western Interstate Nuclear Board are reviewed, siting regulations and legislation are discussed, and examples of recent siting decisions are presented. Development of the Western Systems Coordinating Council to provide a reliable, economic interconnected power system is described. (LCL)
