Proceedings of the 1974 centennial conference and convocation
The conference was opened with an address, Minerals in the Future of Man, Dr. Jean Paul Mather. The meeting continued with a speech, The Future of World Energy, Mr. Kerryn King and another speech, The Mineral Policy Crisis, Sir Charles Court. Addresses were given by Mr. Shinpei Omoto and Lord Solly Zuckerman. Mr. John F. Redmond presented Energy and Related Policies. Dr. A. Gordon Everett presented an address, The Challenge of the Second Century: Environmental, Mineral, and Fuel Resources in a Technical Management System. The Interaction Between Science and Society, Dr. Thomas O. Paine, and an address by Representative Mike McCormack followed. An address by Senator Peter H. Dominick was followed by a summary of the proceedings by Dr. Mather. The convocation address,Living in an Energy-Scarce World, was delivered by Mr. David Rockefeller.
