This issue features newly published projections about petroleum prices, supply, and demand. The knowns and the unknowns are markedly different today than they were less than a decade ago -- making things difficult for petroleum economists in the new ways. It is generally believed that supply should be adequate and could remain quite stable in the would to the end of the century - excluding communist petroleum economies. This issue also contains the following: (1) the ED Refining Netback Data for the U.S. Gulf and West Coasts, Rotterdam, and Singapore as of May 18, 1990; and (2) the ED Fuel Price/Tax Series for countries of the Eastern Hemisphere, May 1990 edition. 5 figs., 5 tabs.
