Studies and research concerning BNFP: the BNFP second and third plutonium cycles analytical study
Allied-General Nuclear Services (AGNS), under contract to the Department of Energy (DOE) during FY 1982, performed studies and evaluations of the second and third plutonium cycles performance using SEPHIS MOD4 computer program data. The effect of several basic operating variables on the process was studied, which resulted in determination of conditions for efficient mass-transfer operation in both plutonium cycles. These conditions can be approximately verified through the recommended simulating cold uranium runs in the plant.
