Energies and volumes of activation for condensed detonating explosives

The results of Bdzil et al/sup 1/ regarding the shock decomposition of liquid nitromethane are clarified by emphasizing the need for including in addition to activation energies the volume of activation in the analysis and identification of reactions at high pressure. (AIP)
