Effectiveness of using water distiller for lowering steam wetness in atomic power plant turbines

One method of increasing the efficiency and reliability of nuclear power plant steam turbines operating on saturated steam is to lower the wetness of the steam in the flow passage of the turbine. A method is described for increasing the efficiency of heat use by wet steam turbine units by the use of a water distiller as a steam separator installed between the medium- and low-pressure parts of the turbine. A simplified method for calculating the heat economy is proposed.
