Sonatrach's Valorisation Hydrocarbon Development (VALHYD) program for developing gas and oil resources in Algeria has the goals of recovery and use of gas associated with oil production, processing of associated and nonassociated gas from condensate and LPG; gas reinjection to aid oil recovery, maximum recovery of condensate, maintenance of high and stable gas sales volume, and systematic production of LPG. The program's drilling and construction activities; Algerian reserves and planned production through 2005; investment requirements; foreign debts and payments for gas and oil; financial projections for 1976-2005; total gas and oil cash flow analysis; and sensitivity analysis to variations in revenues, capital costs, operating costs, and interest rates are discussed.
