In response to shifting research interests, this 5th edition book has been prepared to present contemporary information on traditional as well as current soil physics topics. Soil solid phase and soil dynamics have been reduced from 5 chapters in the previous edition to a single chapter here. Wind and water erosion have been eliminated. Information concerning transport of heat, water and chemicals has been expanded. Soil water relations, thermal regime aeration, solute transport and spatial variations of soil properties are well covered.
