Quasifree production of pions. Interaction of the ejected proton with the residual nucleus

The differential cross section d/sup 3/sigma(e/sub ..gamma../)/ de/sub ..pi../d..cap omega../sub ..pi../d..cap omega../sub p/ for the reaction /sup 12/C(..gamma..,..pi../sup -/p), measured at the Tomsk synchrotron, and the differential cross section d/sup 2/sigma(e/sub ..gamma../)/de/sub ..pi../d..cap omega../sub ..pi../ for the inclusive reaction /sup 12/C(..gamma..,..pi../sup -/), measured in the tagged photon beam at Bonn, are analyzed together. The mechanism of quasifree pion production and the optical model are used to analyze the interaction of the ejected proton and the residual nucleus.
