It would not be uncommon to see 25% of curbside collection using co-collection within three to four years. But with high-tech co-collection vehicles, blue bags, and even modified units, the debate continues as to which co-collection system answers three important questions: Which method is the most expedient ; which technique produces quality, contaminant-free recyclables ; and, bottom-line, which system is the most cost-effective Today, when a hauler is weighing the advantages and disadvantages of traditional'' versus co-collection service, the first items that need to be considered are the obstacles that the route presents -- or may present -- to a particular method of collection.
