This patent describes a self-contained brushless electric-motor fuel pump. It comprises a pair of spaced end caps and a case joining the end cap to form a hollow pump housing, fuel outlet passage means extending through one of the end caps and fuel inlet passage means extending through the other of the end caps, a brushless electric-motor including a permanent magnet armature, pump means coupled to the armature; a pressure sensor mounted on the one end cap and coupled to the outlet passage means; pump motor control means including a circuitboard assembly mounted within a hollow cavity in the one end cap.
