Ignition control system for internal combustion engine
This patent describes an ignition control system for an internal combustion engine, comprising: (a) first means for generating a signal synchronized with an ignition timing of the engine; (b) second means for determining the maximum energizing time of an ignition coil to vary the maximum energizing time in accordance with the output signal of the first means; (c) third means for detecting the energizing current of the ignition coil to determine the energizing time of the ignition coil so that the period of the energizing current reaches a predetermined value; and (d) switching means for energizing or interrupting the ignition coil in accordance with output signals of the second means and the third means.
