The air tightness of the vacuum system in steam turbines exerts a significant effect on the efficiency and reliability of turbine operations. The search for leaks in steam turbines equipped with water jet ejectors can be done using a simple system consisting of the atmospheric sensor of a halogen leak detector. The performance of the leak detector is discussed.
