Detection and identification by spin trap method of short-lived amine free radicals during metabolism of certain n-nitroso compounds by liver microsomes

The authors use the method of spin traps to detect and identify metabolites of free radical nature (short-lived amine radicals), formed in vitro in liver microsomes of rabbits during biotransformation of three representatives of carcinogenic NC: nitrosomethylurea (NMU), 1-(2-chloroethyl)-3-cyclohexyl-1-nitrosourea (CCNU), and N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG).
