Assessments of bed-load transport in the Katun` River

The assessments of bed-load runoff of the large mountain river are conducted in the absence of bed-load discharge measurement data. Sixteen formulas are selected, through the use of which bed-load discharges are estimated for the river section under investigation, located in the middle reach of the Katun` River. With the use of a well-known ratio between of bed-load runoff to suspended sediment runoff as an approximated criterion, it was concluded that Goncharov, Rukhadze, and Pozdnyakov`s formulas are the best.
