This patent describes a fluidized catalytic cracking process. In the process, metals laden feed contacts hot regenerated catalytic cracking catalyst in a riser reactor, the feed is cracked to lighter products and the cracking catalyst is coked, catalyst is separated from cracked products in a separation means, coked catalyst is stripped of strippable hydrocarbons with a stripping gas, the stripped catalyst is regenerated with an oxygen-containing gas in a regeneration zone, and the regenerated catalyst is recycled to the riser to contact more heavy feed.
