In this work we determined the existence of phase transformation in the solid solutions La/sub 1-x/Ca/sub x/CrO/sub 3/, LaCo/sub y/Cr/sub 1-y/O/sub 3/, La/sub 1-x/Sr/sub x/CrO/sub 3/, and LaNi/sub y/Cr/sub 1-y/O/sub 3/ in the region 300-950/sup 0/K by means of dilatometry and calorimetry. According to the data from x-ray phase analysis, substitution of Ca/sup 2 +/ ions for La/sup 3 +/ ions leads to the formation of the solid solution La/sub 1-x/Ca/sub x/CrO/sub 3/ with x = 0.05-0.3. For x = 0.5 and 0.7 a number of additional lines, indicating a distortion of the perovskite structure and the presence of other unidentified phases, appear.
