The PV Program Branch of the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) is responsible for managing the subcontracted portion of SERI's Photovoltaic Advanced Research and Development (PV ARandD) Project. In fiscal year (FY) 1987, this included more than 65 subcontracts, with a total annualized funding of approximately $15.7 million. Research was conducted in the following task areas: the Amorphous Silicon Research Project, Polycrystalline Thin Films, Crystalline Silicon Materials Research, High-Efficiency Concepts, the New Ideas Program, and the University Participation Program. The major portion of FY 1987's subcontracted research resulted from awards under six competitive solicitations initiated in FY 1986. 278 refs.
