Reviewed here is the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) program for carrying out wellhead pricing refund requirements under the Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978 (Gas Policy Act). This review was initiated in response to an audit request by FERC. The purpose of our review was to determine whether natural gas producers refunded overcharges to purchasers and reported refunds to FERC in a timely manner.
