In this paper a complete set of PVT properties, vapor pressures, and critical parameters of 1,1-dichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane (HCFC-123) are measured by a constant-volume method. Values of 134 PVT property data are obtained along 19 isochores in a range of temperatures from 311 to 523 K, pressures from 0.5 to 12 MPa, and densities from 95 to 1440 kg[center dot]m[sup [minus]3], respectively. Results for 68 vapor pressures were obtained at temperatures from 308 K to the critical temperature, while a vapor pressure correlation representing the experimental data within [plus minus]0.26% was developed. The critical pressure was determined as 3.6655 [plus minus]0.0030 MPa in the course of developing the vapor pressure correlation. The uncertainties of measurements are less than [plus minus]10 mK in temperature, [plus minus]2 kPa in pressure, and [plus minus]0.01 to [plus minus]0.14% in density, respectively. The purity of samples used was 99.8 and 99.82 wt %.
