Determining fast-neutron flux density by radioactivation of neptunium-237

This method covers procedures for determining fast neutron flux density, neutrons . cm/sup -2/ . s/sup -1/, by assaying a fission product (F.P.) from the fission reaction /sup 237/Np (n,f)F.P. The reaction is useful for measuring neutrons with energies from approximately 0.7 to 6 MeV and for irradiation times up to 30 to 40 years.
