The manual is designed for use in the Computer-Interfaced Scintillation Camera Quality Assurance Workshop which aids nuclear medicine personnel in organizing and implementing quality-assurance programs in their facility. Included in the manual are material on the historical development of camera-computer systems; a discussion of nuclear-medicine computer hardware and the process of data collection by the system; and suggestions concerning radioactive sources, phantoms, and preventive maintenance. System performance tests are presented in detail, with a recommended schedule.
