This manual is designed for use in the Radionuclide Handling and Radiopharmaceutical Quality Assurance Workshop which aids nuclear medicine technologists and other nuclear medicine personnel in organizing and implementing quality assurance programs in their facility. The manual was developed collaboratively with the Universities of Colorado and Cincinnati Medical Centers and the Nuclear Medicine Laboratory, BRH, FDA. The six sections include material on generator operation, yield, contaminants, and assay; calibrator testing procedure; radiopharmaceutical sterility, pyrogenicity, and purity; Xenon storing, handling, and disposal; and safety for patient and personnel: shielding, monitoring, decontamination, and good working habits.
