EOR success hinges on proper equipment selection

Journal Article · · Pet. Eng. Int.; (United States)

Enhanced oil recovery places unique demands on well bore equipment. These demands differ from what one would normally anticipate when selecting and installing equipment for primary production or waterflooding operations. Miscible flooding and thermal processes can have dramatic corrosive and physical effects on downhole metals and elastomers. These and other problems were discussed in an earlier article. This article details several case histories about how operators selected and installed downhole equipment used in EOR operations.
