Long-term radiation effects on gallium arsenide directional coupler optical waveguides

The authors discuss the effect of 1.17 MeV and 1.33 MeV gamma rays on the propagation characteristics of gallium arsenide directional coupler optical waveguides. Radiation doses ranged from 4100-190000 rad (GaAs).
