Velocity structure of the Orion-IRc2 SiO maser - Evidence for an 80 AU diameter circumstellar disk

DOI:https://doi.org/10.1086/185632· OSTI ID:6956014
The relative positions of the 86 GHz SiO maser features toward Orion-IRc2 were measured with an accuracy of + or - 0.015 arcsec using the Hat Creek millimeter array. Maser emission appears to originate from an 0.15 arcsec diameter ring. A simple model of maser emission from an expanding, rotating disk is able to reproduce the observed velocity structure of the ring. 16 refs.
