Measurement of the total cross section for photoproduction of hadrons in nuclei of Be, C, O, and Cu in the range of photon energies E/sub. gamma. / = 0. 25--2. 7 GeV

Experimental results are reported for the first time on measurement of the total cross section for photoproduction of hadrons in the nuclei Be, C, O, and Cu at photon energies 0.25--2.7 GeV. The data were obtained by the usual method of tagged ..gamma.. rays and hadron detectors covering a solid angle approx.4..pi... The results are compared with data existing at the present time on the total cross section for photoproduction of hadrons for energy up to 400 MeV and above 1.5 GeV.
