This method of test covers the procedure for determining the amount or extent of penetration of liquids into finished packages or containers when closed and sealed for shipment. The test may be applied to small or shelf-size packages or to bulk-size containers, as required. The test may be applied to containers as packed or after one or more performance tests such as drum, vibration, drop, or actual shipping tests, as required.
