Data are tabulated on radioactivity in samples of air, milk, and water collected at various stations throughout the US and Canada during 1961 and 1962. Considerations in establishing radiation protection standards for radioactivity in the environment are discussed. Data are included on environmental levels of radioactivity at Argonne National Laboratory and the Rocky Flats Plant during the third and fourth quarters of 1961 and the Nevada Test Site in March 1962. Information is summarized on nuclear detonations through April 30, 1962.
