We study the symmetry breaking of a supersymmetric SO(10) models using a simple general method for decomposing high-rank tensor representations and calculating Higgs-boson-mass spectra. We consider in detail the symmetry breaking of the SO(10) group to some interesting subgroups, such as the flipped SU(5){times}U(1), SU(4){times}SU(2){sub {ital L}}{times}SU(2){sub {ital R}}, and SU(3){times}SU(2){sub {ital L}} {times}SU(2){sub {ital R}}{times}U(1), with or without {ital D} parity. We discuss some of the related phenomenological consequences.
