Title: Lanthanide(III) nitrate adducts with 2,6-dimethyl-4H-pyran-4-one

The new lanthanide complexes (Ln(DMP){sub 3}(NO{sub 3}){sub 3}) (Ln = La, C, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu or Gd; DMP = 2,6-dimethyl-4H-pyran-4-one) and Ln(DMP){sub 2}(H{sub 2}O){sub 2}(NO{sub 3}){sub 3}. H{sub 2}o (Ln = La or Ce) have been characterized by spectroscopic (infrared, {sup 1}H nmr, {sup 13}C nmr) and thermogravimetric data. Moreover the uranyl adducts (UO{sub 2}(DMP){sub 2}(NO{sub 3}){sub 2}) and (UO{sub 2}(DMP)(O{sub 2}CMe){sub 2}) have been isolated. The influence of the solvent on the reaction products is discussed.
