The authors study the influence of added lathanum on the electrochemical behavior of aluminum (A995 grade) in 3% NaC. The results of the investigation of aluminum-lanthanum alloys are presented. Study of the dependence of the stationary potentials of aluminum-lanthanum alloys on the holding time shows that additions of lanthanum to aluminum shift its electrode potential in the positive direction. Potentiodynamic curves for aluminum-lanthanum alloys recorded in 3% NaCl solution at potential sweep rates of 5 and 10 mV/sec are shown.
