Superconducting tunneling junctions were fabricated on sputtered Cu/sub x/Mo/sub 6/S/sub 8/ films with Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and SiO/sub 2/ barriers. The energy gap was determined by the first derivative measurement. The ratio 2..delta../sub 0//k/sub B/T/sub c/ obtained in the experiment clearly indicates the strong coupling nature of Cu/sub x/Mo/sub 6/S/sub 8/. Preliminary results of the second derivative measurements show phonon structure, which agrees reasonably well with inelastic neutron scattering measurements.
