Orifice meter installation effects: Sliding vane test with a 17 d meter tube and alternative flow conditioner designs downstream of tee. topical report. Technical memo

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6876823

As part of the research performed under Gas Research Institute's Metering Research Facility Orifice Meter Upstream Effects Research Program, test results are presented on the performance of several different types of flow conditioning devices. The performance was investigated by applying the sliding flow conditioner technique to determine the variation of orifice discharge coefficient C(sub d) as a function of flow conditioner location in a 17 D long meter tube downstream of a tee for a beta ratio value of 0.67. The report consists of a brief introductory description and a series of lengthy tabular appendixes with test results.
