Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:418968

The test series described in this memorandum is part of the Metering Research Facility Orifice Meter Upstream Effects Research Program, conducted to investigate the benefit and feasibility of fitting flow conditioning devices into new gas flow metering installations as well as retrofitting these devices into existing installations to assure proper upstream flow conditions. This report describes the test series addressing the recommendation to test the use of a 19-tube bundle straightening conditioner. It describes the sliding vane test conditions and test results in a short introduction with several graphic and numerical appendixes.
