On the conformal ionic solution theory: Principles and applications

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6869194
An overview of the conformal ionic solution (CIS) theory is presented with special emphasis on applications of the derived equations to practical problems. The principles of the theory, the derivation of the equations, and the theoretical extension to multicomponent ionic systems are briefly discussed. A variety oe examples is given to illustrate the use of this theory in practical problems, e.g., a priori calculations of phase diagrams and of other thermodynamic properties of ternary and higher order molten salt systems and of solubility products. 19 refs., 4 figs.
