This paper reports column measurements of HCl, HF, ClONO[sub 2], and HNO[sub 3] above Are, Sweden (63.4[degrees]N), during the EASOE campaign, using high resolution solar absorption measurements. One of the more interesting aspects was the decrease in HCl column densities observed in January, 1992, which correlated with satellite observations which showed a rise in chemically active ClO at the same time, when this station was below the arctic vortex.
