Title: Petroleum hydrocarbon toxicity studies. VI, VII, VIII. Animal and human responses to vapors of ''60 solvent'', ''70 solvent'', and ''140/sup 0/ flash aliphatic solvent''

Journal Article · · Toxicol. Appl. Pharmacol.; (United States)

The 3 types of solvents studied are commercial mixtures of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. Suggested ''hygienic'' standards for inhalation of ''60 Solvent'' (0.44 mg/l or 90 ppm), ''70 Solvent'' (0.32 mg/l or 59 ppm) and ''140/sup 0/ (Fahrenheit) Flash Aliphatic Solvent'' (0.23 mg/l or 37 ppm) are given. Detailed results of human and animal experiments support the recommended values.
