The recovery of benzene hydrocarbons from coke oven gas is a major undertaking at coking plants. For this, methylnaphthalene is most commonly used for a solvent. The design of a bubbler device for the recovery of benzenes using methylnaphthalene is presented. The chromatographic analysis for these aromatics is also discussed.
