Half-life of sup 176 Lu

The half-life of {sup 176}Lu was deduced using Ge {gamma}-ray spectrometry from the mass and activity of a lutetium oxide sample enriched in {sup 176}Lu. The half-life was found to be 4.05{plus minus}0.09{times}10{sup 10} y. The relative intensities of the {gamma} rays were also measured and are compared to previously reported values.
