>In the lutetium sample a thorium contamination was found by analysis of the measured gamma-ray spectrum. After purification by ion-exchange no gamma- activity could be found besides the one due to /sup 176/Lu. The haif life of i Sra is found to be (1.04 plus or minus 0.03) x 10/sup 11/ yr; the half life of / sup 147/Lu is reported as (2.18 plus or minus 0.06) x 10/sup 10/ yr. (auth)
