Yrast decay schemes from heavy-ion + /sup 4/8Ca fusion-evaporation reactions. III. /sup 57,58/Fe, /sup 54,55/Cr, and /sup 57,58/Mn

Fusion-evaporation reactions induced by beams of 25--65 MeV /sup 1/3C, /sup 1/5N, /sup 1/1B, and /sup 9/Be on an isotopically enriched /sup 4/8Ca target have been used to populate high-spin yrast levels in /sup 57,58/Fe, /sup 54,55/Cr, and /sup 57,58/Mn. Measurements consisted of ..gamma..-ray excitation functions, angular distributions, ..gamma..-..gamma.. coincidences, and recoil-distance and Doppler shift lifetime measurements, from which were deduced the enrgy levels, ..gamma..-ray branching ratios, most probable spin-parity assignments, and level lifetimes. Comparision is made with a large-basis shell model calculation.
